Christiane Bielefeldt is currently project co-ordinator for the EU-funded FP7 project INTERCONNECT.  From 2006 to 2008 she co-ordinated the FP6 project DIFFERENT.  From 2004 to 2007 she was evaluation manager for the EU-funded FP6 project EURAMP. From 2001 to 2004 she was project co-ordinator and evaluation manager for the EU-funded FP5 project SMART NETS, and from 2000 to 2004 she co-ordinated the Edinburgh demonstration site in the FP5 project PROGRESS. Before joining TRI, Professor Bielefeldt worked as a consultant with MVA and as a Project Officer for the Commission of the European Communities in the DRIVE research programme.

 

Research Interests

Integrated traffic control and intelligent transportation systems; traffic and traveller information; urban traffic control, off-line and on-line signal control, bus priority; motorway control, ramp metering; demand management, road pricing and user charging concepts; traffic impact assessment and socio-economic evaluation: differentiated pricing in transport; intermodality and modal connections.
