Climate Change (Scotland) Bill
TRI's Senior Research Fellow Gordon Wilmsmeier gave evidence to the Scottish Parliament’s Transport, Infrastructure and Climate Change Committee on the issue of the Scottish share of emissions relating to international aviation and shipping and its implications on the Bill.
Gordon Wilmsmeier joined the meeting as expert on shipping and the environment. He appeared alongside Gordon Dewar, Managing Director, Edinburgh Airport , BAA Scotland ;Robert Ashdown, Head of Technical Division, Chamber of Shipping; and Dr Alice Bows, Core Researcher, Tyndall Centre Manchester.
The meeting focused on how the Climate Bill could be improved and seeked advice on specific changes which could be made to the Bill in relation to GHG emissions from shipping.
