Logistics Countdown to 2012
3rd Annual Forum
Logistics Countdown to 2012:
Making It Work
3rd November 2009, Eversheds, London
The building of the Olympic Park is one of the largest construction and engineering projects in Europe. A project twice the size of Heathrow Terminal 5 has to be delivered in half the time.
Now it its third year the 3rd Annual Logistics Countdown to 2012 Forum has become established as an important industry annual event, bringing together the organisations at the heart of the London Olympics delivery to update on progress and discuss the challenges ahead.
This year’s event provides an opportunity to receive an update on logistics from the ODA and CLM.
For the first time it will focus on the provision for the movement of people and goods during the Games and hear from LOCOG on the arrangements for the handover. It will also present the chance to hear from Transport for London on the arrangements for managing London’s transport during the Games.
If you are involved in the delivery of logistics or transport within London attend this timely forum to update on progress and meet new contacts.
Issues to be discussed include:
- Hear an update on the ODA’s plans for construction logistics
- Learn the latest about progress on site
- Understand LOCOG’s plans for the handling of logistics issues
- Gain an update from the Host Boroughs
- Find out the arrangements for managing transport during the Games
- Discuss the challenges ahead
