National Telford Institute Workshop

A workshop entitled "Travel Demand Management: an on-ongoing challenge" is being sponsored by the National Telford Institute and is being organised by the University of Aberdeen, the University of Strathclyde and Edinburgh Napier University, to be held on Monday 23rd March 2009. TRI's Dr Wafaa Saleh is Co-Director of the event.

Travel Demand Management (TDM) measures are well established in transport engineering and planning and are routinely promoted as “packages” within policies intended to encourage more sustainable travel behaviour. The objective of the workshop is to share best practice experience in the implementation and evaluation of TDM and to contribute to future policy-making in Scotland and beyond
