Scottish Ferries Review

TRI's Professor Alf Baird last week commented on ferry services in the Western Isles of Scotland while running a consultation seminar in Benbecula. The seminar was one in a series of consultation events occuring across Scotland as part of the Scottish Ferries Review, a project that TRI is currently undertaking on behalf of the Scottish Government.

Professor Baird's comments were given in an interview conducted with the Stornoway Gazette (click here for link to newspaper article). During the interview, Professor Baird discussed possible future options for ferry services in the Western Isles, including route unbundling and fleet financing alternatives.
