Professor David Begg, Chair of the Scottish Transport Awards Judging Panel, said: “In his research into the psychology of transport at Edinburgh Napier University Steve has developed a deserved international reputation as one of the best in his field of expertise. Understanding people's travel behaviour and why they respond the way they do to different polices has been invaluable to decision makers. Steve’s lasting legacy will be the use that has been made of this research to improve road safety.”
