TRI’s Gordon Wilmsmeier has published a report on the “The potential of multi-modal services in the transport corridor Asuncion – Montevideo” (in Spanish: El potencial de servicios multimodales en el corredor de transporte Asunción – Montevideo) in the UN’s ECLAC series.

The in-depth study discusses the potential of multimodal RoRo transport development between Asuncion, Paraguay and Montevideo, Uruguay. The implementation of such an idea is found to be a successful combination of land and water transportation systems. Based on experiences in the European Union, the study analyses the conditions under which RoRo services could be developed to complement existing transportation systems.
